The Fifth Annual Florida Pirate Festival will be held on November 16th through November 18th, 2007 at Vinoy Park, St. Petersburg, Florida. Step back in time to 1720 when Tampa Bay was known as Bay del Spirito Sancto and participate in the Pirate Gathering. Vinoy Park will transform into a port full of Swashbucklers, privateers, cutthroats, and buccaneers. There will be merchants and artisans from all over the country displaying their wares. nationally renowned stage acts and entertainers as well as our local cast. The East India, Royal Navy, and Redcoats will be amidst crews, the question is, are they "Auspicio Regis et Senatus Angliae" meaning, "Under the patronage of the King and Parliament of England" or merely for their own profit?
